We travel through the scenic Adelaide Hills to Mount Lofty Summit for an unsurpassed view over the City, we then begin to taste the fine wines tucked away in the Hills. We wander through the small villages of the Hills, Crafers and Stirling, with a short visit to the Organic Market before visiting historic Hahndorf.
We can stroll through the German village of Hahndorf then do a tasting of the excellent Hahndorf Hill wines for Chocovino experience. Along with a cheese tasting at Udder Delights, tastings of olive oil, and fresh seasonal strawberries can also be included. We may visit the stylish Shaw and Smith winery to taste their exceptional white wines and new reds. Lunch may be at the outstanding restaurant at The Lane Vineyard or Pike and Joyce or similar. Tours may include a visit to Penfolds Magill Estate, the home of Grange. ( Grange Tasting optional extra charge ) . We may also have lunch here.
Deviation Road is a must do for sparking wine lovers.
The region also boasts beautiful gardens, diverse orchards, boutique cheese and food producers plus creative influences from the many arts and crafts inhabitants.
*An option may be to cuddle a koala and interact with other wildlife at Cleland Wildlife Sanctuary or Gorge wildlife .
